Play-off
Betel of Britain 1 v 0 Leigh Rd

We played so much better as a team this year with maybe the exception of the first and last games. Our calling and working off the ball was so much better and we benefited from this. A great time was had by all (I think!) We finished in our best ever position in the three years we have been taking part finishing in 11th place out of 20 teams. This beats 13th in 2005 and 11th in 2004 out of 16 teams.

Best of all we finished higher than Westcliff BC FC B Team! C'mon! Well done to Westcliff BC FC A who reached the final of the FA affiliated tournament but unfortunately lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of full time.

If anyone was interested in what the guys were saying from Ambassadors in Sport during the talks, why not investigate it by visiting the links to the right called rejesus.co.uk: sport or have chat with any of the guys from the church.

Brilliant! Actually found a use for this username.

Just want to repeat that really. Having not worked much recently and having been jobseeking, a weekend away playing football was just what I needed although the hamstrings weren't loving the 'no-stretch-after-last-match' banter.

Huge thanks to Toddy for getting us all there in one piece and just about on time (most of us anyway) and also thanks to everyone for working so hard in each game. It's remarkable how much better a team becomes when every player on the pitch gives it 100%.

Take care

Hi all,

Richard here.

Manchester was better than ever this year. We all got on so well and this showed through in the football we played.

My highlight of the weekend was singing happy birthday to Craig on the Magic Bus.........
